Metal Guide

Every EOBO piece is set with the same IGI-certified, lab-grown diamonds — D–F color, VVS1–VVS2 clarity. What changes from one option to the next is the metal it's set in. Here's how to choose.

925 Sterling Silver & 18k Gold Vermeil

Our most accessible finishes. 925 Sterling Silver is solid sterling silver (92.5% silver), rhodium-finished for a bright white look — tarnish-resistant and ideal for everyday wear. 18k Gold Vermeil is the same 925 silver base, finished with 18-karat gold plating (minimum 2.5 microns) for a warm yellow or rose tone. Both are made to order and crafted to the same standard as our solid gold pieces.

18k Solid Gold

Solid 18k gold (750 parts per thousand pure gold) in white, yellow, or rose. This is real, solid gold throughout — not plated — so the color never wears off and the piece holds its value. The natural choice for heirloom pieces and pieces you'll wear daily for years.

PT950 Platinum

Solid platinum (950 parts per thousand). Denser and rarer than gold, naturally white, and hypoallergenic — platinum holds diamonds securely and develops a soft patina over time that many collectors prize. Our most premium metal.

Which is right for me?

Choose 925 Sterling Silver for a clean, white-metal look at an accessible price. Choose 18k Gold Vermeil for warm gold tones with a fine jewelry finish. Choose 18k Solid Gold for a lifetime piece that keeps its color and value. Choose PT950 Platinum for the most durable, hypoallergenic setting. Whichever you pick, the diamond is identical.

Caring for your metal

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear; store pieces separately and away from humidity; put jewelry on after lotion and perfume, and take it off before swimming, workouts, and sleep. See our Jewelry Care guide for more.

How metal is disclosed

In line with FTC Jewelry Guides, every product page states the exact metal for the option you choose — whether it is 18k Gold Vermeil (925 silver base with 18k gold plating), solid 18k gold, or PT950 platinum. If anything is ever unclear, email support@eobo.store and we'll confirm before you buy.
